Twitter May Save Free Speech In America

It has been an absolute trip watching a live exchange in real time on Twitter between thousands of Twitter users who were banned from the platform over the past 5 years.

The truth is the truth no matter where it leads you.

Elon Musk is involved in a dynamic discussion with users.

Why do I respect Elon Musk so much for buying Twitter?

Answer: He put his money where his mouth is.

The reason that Elon Musk may save American free speech is that he knows who he is. So many of the people I followed who were true innovative creators were banned.

Sometimes we all end up medicating ourselves in order to tell the truth.

The next thing that I have noticed about Twitter is the live streaming from various users who now have a voice again. These are called spaces and it blows my mind.

If you really want to have more fun with Twitter, try their own in-house message management system called: Tweet Deck, here it is:

While everyone is playing on Twitter, if you get off your “Smartphone,” you can look at this:

Now what do we do? Wild times.

Substack Is My Favorite For Journalism

There are those of us out there that have to write. It’s in our DNA, we are driven by it. While my own background since 1977 was in producing music and then in 1994 starting my journey into radio, the written word for me is pivotal for me.

The number one reason I am such a substack fan is since the platform launched, they are not censoring content creators, nor is substack censoring the comments sections on their various substack writers presentations.

What is Substack?

First, for those of us who have lived on WordPress for years, it is not just a “blog,” it is a platform that builds community.

Second, think of Substack as a platform for passionate writers who are building their own following and while some of the revenue You receive is shared with Substack. You own you’re own content and if at some point in the future you want to leave the platform, no problem!

Third, you can even post various videos so if you a consultant, an expert in your field or an amateur investigative journalist that must give you’re “take” on the world.

Yes you can connect You’re Twitter Account To Substack.

Most of all and this is a big one, Substack can link up to Twitter and if I were you I’d be on Twitter right here right now because Elon Musk took off the gloves and the censorship that was once there under Jack Dorsey’s leadership is now turned off.

Jordan Peterson now back on Twitter after his account was suspenced in the past.

As you write new content, it will also post at Twitter and you can build a nice following!

Do You Know What You Believe?

“I don’t know what to believe anymore!”

One of the fascinating characters that I have studied throughout my life is Edward Bernays. If you don’t know his work, he is considered by many to be the Godfather of Public Relations.

If you look deeper at his background, you will also discover that he was the nephew of Sigmund Freud, the modern Father of Psychiatry.

Enjoy being controlled.

Edward Bernays learned a lot watching his Uncle Freud, and back in 1928, he wrote the definitive book “Propaganda.”

Now you know why you believe what you believe.

If you want to know why a platform like Facebook or Twitter is so popular, you will discover it by reading Propaganda.

Living An Authentic Life

Tell The Truth No Matter What!

The ability, to tell the truth, is not something that comes easy to most people. Why is this? Most people will basically just tell people what they think you want to hear. This has a lot to do with social programming, circumstances, and the environment you live in.

How can you make your life more authentic?

Turn Off Your Tell-Lie Vision!

Do you see the pattern when you watch this?

These were some insights that I found on the internet that may help you:

“We can only control people if we tell half-truth; if we shade what’s true, but if we tell the total truth, then our inside in on the outside. There is nothing hidden inside. For most human beings, to have their inside exposed on the outside brings up incredible fear.” – Adyashanti

https://www.pickthebrain.com/5-reasons-tell-truth/

As a kid my Mom (RIP) always stressed the importance of telling the truth. She used to say, “Honey if you tell the truth you may be in trouble, but if you lie to me you are in deep shit.”

The truth can have deeper meaning especially when You tell your side of the story, then I tell my side of the story, then we discover the facts. The facts have changed because of what Social Media has done to our society. My personal point of view? Long term I think that living on Social Media can make you mentally ill. Why do I think this? The answer is simple, so many people that I know have both a personal and a business social media account.

The personal account is the truth while the professional account is all about their brand! Okay, so you want to ber a brand, no worries.

Here is what FastCompany has to say about it:

We’re living in an Audio Renaissance right now. You might not have noticed yet, but your ears certainly have.

Everyday life is full of soundmojis, voice assistants, and IoT devices that speak in sonic languages. Social platforms like TikTok and Clubhouse only work with sound. Amazon even sells “You’re On Mute” T-shirts. And the global sound-on movement isn’t simply anecdotal. Sixty-seven million Americans listen to podcasts every month, audio streaming has increased 32% year over year, and 41% of people in the U.S. use voice search every day.

Of course, whenever there’s a seismic shift in consumer behavior, it’s followed by a seismic shift in brand behavior. Marketers need to constantly pivot to meet their customers where they’re at. So, it should come as no surprise that the number of global companies investing in sonic branding is increasing exponentially.

In 2021, our research shows a 22% jump in brands launching audio identities for the very first time. It’s a phenomenon happening across industries, from financial services and autos to tech and retail. Global giants such as American Express, Frito-Lay, Colgate, General Mills, and Walmart have significantly increased their sonic investments in the last 18 months.
